3. Learn More About How To Spot Ethical Companies
In our last 3 tips article, we discussed using our buying power to support ethical companies. You might have wondered how to know that they are truly ethical, though! To nail this, you can look out for certifications that companies have to earn. For example, when you see a Fair Trade Certified™ seal on a product, you can have peace of mind that it's production was held to stringent environmental and social standards. Once you start looking for it, you'll find this seal on all sorts of goods from coffee, to seafood, and even apparel. Another seal to spot in the shops is from FSC, which stands for Forest Stewardship Council. From paper products, to patio furniture, producers can only earn the FSC logo on their packaging by meeting the strict sustainability standards that the FSC requires.
